Lost

So this is a woe is me post – someone give me a swift kick up the arse!

I am torturing myself over my mums group once again because I don't have a “buddy” all the ladies are lovely but I haven't met “the one”. This is the aspect of being a young mum that people don't talk about and, it especially sucks if none of your old friends are close to having babies!

Sometimes I wish all you girls were closer! But some of you are so Perth ladies who is up for a catch up? It's about time we all met 🙂 and anyone further away maybe just maybe you might feel like a WA holiday 😉

So comment here & I will organise. When I have more details feel free to share it on your blogs too, the more the merrier – and yes I will be on the hunt for a BMF (best mummy friend) xoxo

That does sound hard, Jess. I can relate to wanting to find ‘the one’ in a mother’s group. It’s such a blessing to find a BMF to hang out with…
    Hugs,
    Ronnie xo

Mmm… that comment looks garbled on my computer. Hope it comes up okay at your end!

It really is hard, you’re allowed to feel a bit sad, we all need friend soulmates as well as our partner soulmate.
Sure you don’t want to live in the middle of nowhere 😉
Hopefully I’ll be able to get over to visit sometime, surely now that I “go” to uni there I should have to?
I hope you find a local BMF (we might have to set up skype coffee dates as well)

Friend soulmates would be great, I guess it’s just different life stages isn’t it? I had great friends in highschool and still do but they are still out partying and single. Then my uni girlfriends but one of them is over the other side of the world – hopefully one of them will have a baby in the next few years – poor girl she’ll be begging me to give her some breathing room when that happens!

At least I have all you amazing girls. I wouldn’t mind living in the middle of nowhere but my Mum would kill me, it already looks like my little sister is moving to Geelong 😦

I know how you feel. I’m part of an active Mum’s group and they are all gorgeous but I haven’t met anyone that I can really connect to. I’d love to catch up…I’m an older mum but am still a rookie with one child:) …and Lila, yes, you have an obligation to get your bottom over here now that you are at Uni here! Or maybe we can all meet up and have a girls weekend over in Melbourne…now that would be good!

    Girls weekend in Melbourne!!!!
    Accom sorted! (With me!)

I know how you feel Jess. I kinda did have the mummy friend with the babe the same age and still kinda do, but moving away has changed things and I really noticed that over the weekend.
The others (only 5 of us from a big group) all really know each other now and I felt a little on the outer. And even Abi played more on her own than with the other kids 😦

I hate it when it really hits home, it’s fine until a moment like that happens. A bit like a slap in the face I guess!

I think I’ll be coming to Melbourne a fair bit soon, looks like my little sister is moving to Geelong (where here fiance is from) – poor Logan loses all his cousins/potential cousins 😦

So yes definitely catching up when I’m over there!!!

        Absolutely love!
I was talking to a few girls te other day about how they met and it was similar to this type of thing…
They now live in the same state but at one point one flew from Melb to Perth to meet having never met before! Hit it off as the rest is history!

      • aussiemor says:

Well I will definitely try & catch up with you next time I’m in Melbourne!!!

  6. Yes! Absolutely! I’ll happily do the drive up to the city for a catch up! I’m also on the hunt 😉 – Keep me in the loop. (I’ll also be in Melbourne in March) xo
